About
Built by an operator,
not a salesperson.
Shaikh Property Partners runs a small number of Montreal portfolios at the level of rigor an institutional asset manager would apply.
Amir Shaikh, Founder
Amir Shaikh is the founder of Shaikh Property Partners. He spent his early career at Kiewit, one of North America's largest construction firms, in roles spanning estimating, project management, and BIM coordination. He learned how serious institutions operate: with discipline, documentation, and accountability for outcomes.
He started Shaikh Property Partners after observing the same pattern across every owner he met. The same investor who would never accept sloppy financial reporting from their wealth manager would somehow accept it from their property manager. The same person who reviewed quarterly P&Ls on every public equity holding would not have seen a quarterly P&L on their two-million-dollar Montreal building in years.
Shaikh Property Partners exists to close that gap. The firm operates a small number of Montreal portfolios with institutional rigor and prices accordingly. Five client portfolios is the cap. No employees. No marketing engine. New clients arrive through referrals, accountants, mortgage brokers, and direct outreach.
Philosophy
Three principles.
Stewardship over service.
We operate your real estate as if we owned it. Every decision is made with the question: would I do this with my own portfolio? When the answer is no, we do not do it.
Reporting is the product.
Most property managers keep their work invisible because their work is unimpressive. We send you a monthly P&L by the fifth of every month, an annual tax package by February 15, and a quarterly portfolio review. You always know where your assets stand.
Capacity over volume.
Five client portfolios is not a marketing line. It is the number of portfolios one operator can run with the rigor we promise. When we sign the fifth, we close the waitlist.
Applications
Five client portfolios.
One founder.
No marketing engine.
